Advertisers Mood Board

This is a selection of possible advertisements for my magazine, I have chosen these as they will appeal to my target audience and suit my house style. The alcohol I chose are all sold at festivals so students are more likely to but them for parties as they are affordable. I only included beer and cider as vodka and spirits tend to be aimed at a more upmarket, older audience. The converse advert featured in NME and uses musicians to advertise shoes – this sort of advertising would fit my magazine as the consumer sees an icon in those shoes and is positioned to want them as well. The next advertisement is for a Stone Roses reunion show, this was an iconic moment in music and would fit any music magazine, especially those with an alternative tendency. ‘Drug Store’ is an independent clothing store and my audience are likely to want to find shops like this in their local areas so my magazine could include various independent brands. I felt that guitars such as fender could advertise in my magazine as my readers are likely to be musicians, some of them may not be able to afford such guitars but for any band members that read, this will appeal to them. Phone adverts may also feature in my magazine, as my readers are young so will want to keep up with technology. Festivals such as Reading and Leeds would advertise in my magazine as we share demographic.
