Colour Mood Board

This is the colour mood board for my product, I decided on 3 possible combinations. I chose to use mainly 3 colours because it is conventional for magazines, especially the cover. My first combination is monochromatic with red, I chose red as it signifies stop and danger that I feel will grab the consumer’s attention and alert them.
My second combination is simplistic; this is to emulate the basic colours used in old punk fanzines such as Sniffin Glue. This nostalgic reference would draw in an older audience as well however may put younger people off.
My third combination uses Klein Blue, this colour is known for connoting calm, I could however use it in an unconventional style and redefine its iconography to suit my magazines style. This is also why I used grey, a cover with no white is highly unconventional.

I have chosen to use my first colour combination for my magazine as the red will help my costume ideas and I feel red fits my magazines iconography the best.
